Yuma Autism Community Coalition
Yuma Autism Community Coalition (YACC) in partnership with the non-profit, The Menta Group, is joining forces with the Yuma community to make a positive impact for children with autism. The goal is to provide autism resources, educational training, business involvement, and a proactive support system. Parents, educators, service providers, business owners, and citizens who want to help make a difference are encouraged to join this movement to educate, inspire, and uplift our children and families with autism.
YACC was started by a group of parents of children with autism in the Yuma region.
They realized the community had a need for more support and also quickly found they were a more powerful force if they voiced these needs as team. The group continued to gain traction with the more people they reached out to and eventually The Menta Group was invited to address the parents with proposed solutions and resources to help. A partnership blossomed and they began working together to pool resources and collaborate within the community. By working together, YACC and The Menta Group created a vision to truly make a difference for the children with autism in Yuma.
The Menta Group has been supporting initiatives to help all kids succeed for more than 40 years. As a non-profit, The Menta Group is proud of the programs developed to help at-risk youth reach their academic goals and make positive contributions to their communities. From grass root to national campaigns, The Menta Group is at the forefront of doing what is best for children with the mission to provide innovative solutions to critical problems in education and human services.
The Menta Group envisions a society in which all youth can be successful. Their goal isĀ to also support the professionals who work with at-risk youth by focusing on program development, professional training, and child advocacy. For more information on The Menta Group please visit www.menta.com.
